What happens to my data? We don't sell your financial data or insights made from it, including aggregated or de-identified insights.
Does it use AI? Automatic receipt reading is not available in the current pilot. If offered later, it will require your choice before an image is processed; you can enter receipts yourself. Receipt consent is separate from optional AI-processing permission for public ideas.
How can I start? After you’re invited, choose Plaid, a manual account, or a reviewed bank-statement CSV; manual and CSV starts don’t require a bank connection. See what each option includes.

How it works
- 1. Choose how to start. After you’re invited, connect through Plaid, add a manual account, or import a bank-statement CSV. Manual balances are user-entered snapshots with an as-of date and optional source; CSV imports use the file and rows you review, not a live bank sync.
- 2. See what needs a look. Find charges and a short list of activity that may need your attention.
- 3. Stay in control. Set a monthly budget, download your data, or disconnect when you choose.
Your data, your exit
Bank connections through Plaid are read-only. Download your data, disconnect an account, or delete your data any time. We don’t sell your financial data or insights made from it.

How does Lessware make money?
Lessware is funded by its founder today. We aim to keep features free through professional services and clearly labelled referrals. If we earn a referral fee, we disclose it before you act; payment never determines organic rankings or recommendations.
Can I enter receipts without AI?
Yes. You can enter receipts yourself. Automatic reading is not available in the current pilot deployment; if offered later, it will require your choice and prior processor disclosure.
