Who we are

Lessware is building a personal finance and commerce intelligence platform. At this stage we are a pre-launch project defining our legal entity and governance structure. Contact for privacy requests: privacy@getlessware.com (monitoring begins before form collection goes live).

What this policy covers

This policy applies to information collected through:

• GetLessware.com public pages
• Funding interest, waitlist, and public ideas forms
• Standard website operations (security logs, cookies strictly necessary for site function if any)

This policy does not yet govern a live consumer financial product. When the application launches at a separate domain (planned: app.lessware.com or similar), an updated policy will describe financial data handling, Plaid connectivity, and in-product controls.

Information we collect

Information you provide

Funding interest form: name, organization, role, contact information, support type and interests, optional funding range, and whether you consent to receive updates.

Early-user waitlist: email address, broad needs and beta interest, communication consent choices, and optional research responses when a stated purpose is shown on the form.

Public ideas form: idea title, description, problem, beneficiaries, and optional risks; attribution, publication, build-upon, and AI-processing permissions.

We do not collect bank credentials, payment card numbers, or live financial account data through GetLessware.com pre-launch forms.

Information collected automatically

We may collect limited technical information when you visit the site, such as IP address and approximate region, browser type and device characteristics, pages visited with timestamps and referral source, and security and error logs.

We use this information to operate the site, protect against abuse, and diagnose problems. Public endpoints are rate-limited. We do not use behavioral advertising trackers on GetLessware.com.

Each form submission stores the policy version and the consent choices you selected at submission time.

How we use information

We do not sell identifiable financial information—and pre-launch forms do not collect identifiable financial records. We do not enroll waitlist members in unrelated advertising or data sharing.

Joining the waitlist or submitting an idea does not automatically subscribe you to marketing beyond what you explicitly consent to on the form.

How we share information

We share information only in these circumstances:

• Service providers — Vendors that host the site, deliver email, or provide infrastructure under contract to process data on our behalf (not for their independent marketing).
• With your direction — For example, if you ask us to introduce you to a specific party and you consent to that introduction.
• Legal requirements — When required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
• Business transitions — If Lessware undergoes a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to continued protections appropriate to the data involved.

We do not sell your pre-launch form data.

AI processing of idea submissions

If you submit an idea and grant AI-processing permission, Lessware may use AI tools to assist internal review (for example, summarization or thematic grouping). AI does not auto-publish your submission or commit Lessware to build a feature. See the AI Participation Policy.

If you do not grant AI-processing permission, your submission is reviewed without AI analysis.

Data retention

We retain pre-launch form data as long as needed for the purposes described above and as required for legal, security, or audit obligations. Waitlist entries may be updated if you submit again; we reconcile duplicate entries to respect your latest consent choices.

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your pre-launch form data by emailing privacy@getlessware.com. We may need to retain certain records where required by law or for dispute resolution.

Security

We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to a pre-launch public site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We do not claim "bank-level security" or guarantee that unauthorized access is impossible.

Report security vulnerabilities through our Security Contact page—not through the public ideas form.

Your choices

• Waitlist and funding updates — You choose whether to receive updates when you submit forms.
• Idea permissions — You choose attribution, publication, build-upon, and AI-processing permissions on each submission.
• Access and deletion — Contact privacy@getlessware.com for pre-launch data requests.

Children's privacy

GetLessware.com is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International visitors

GetLessware.com is operated from the United States and intended for a US audience initially. If you access the site from outside the US, you understand that information may be processed in the US or where our service providers operate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Lessware incorporates, launches products, or changes practices. We will post the updated policy on GetLessware.com with a revised effective date. Material changes may be summarized in our Open Ledger Decisions log.

Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy to the extent permitted by law. Form submissions always record the policy version in effect at submission time.
